All of our training courses take place in the evenings or at weekends to facilitate our students’ busy lifestyles. Our courses have been formulated by The Natural Healing Centre’s therapists – complementary health practitioners with over 60 years experience behind them.
Our tutors are working complementary medicine professionals, who bring a wealth of knowledge & experience to their training seminars. The courses are held in the relaxed atmosphere of The Natural Healing Centre, MacCurtain Street, Cork, with its purpose built treatment rooms, lecture room and spacious training hall.
The Natural Healing Centre is a member training school of the British Complementary Medicine Association, and all of our courses adhere to it’s high standards. Our BCMA recognised qualification automatically entitles graduates to practice in Ireland and the UK ; we have also had many graduates go on to work in a number of locations including Australia, the USA, and a variety of European countries. The B.C.M.A., with over 25,000 members, is the largest organisation of its kind in these islands. You can view their website at http://www.bcma.co.uk/.

Courses currently being run include:
Therapeutic Massage
This is a part-time course, run over a period of eleven months. Seminars take place fortnightly, on Saturday mornings and while theory, (anatomy & physiology) is comprehensively covered, the main emphasis is on practical work. Home assignments, theory exams and clinical practice work are spread throughout the course and the workload is designed to fit in with busy home and work lives. We also have a transfer option, so that students can join a later course, should circumstances force them to postpone completion. Successful qualification entitles the student to join The Natural Healing Institute of Ireland (NHII), The Irish Massage Therapy Association (IMTA) and The British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA). It also gives a choice of professional practitioner insurance cover and recognition from Vivas, the health insurance provider.
Reflexology
This course runs for fourteen months with two seminars each month, on Monday and Wednesday evenings of the same week. There is a strong emphasis on technique and application and the theory aspect is studied in tandem with the body systems being worked. Again the workload is spread out, on the basis that the majority of our students are working full-time, either in employment or in the home. The transfer option is also available on the Reflexology course. Graduates can join the Natural Healing Institute, the British Complementary Medicine Association and the National Register of Reflexologists, where their clients can avail of VHI, Quinnhealth and Vivas cover, for their treatments
