Each class will be an hour long and as well as Tai Chi form, or movement, there will be standing Tai Chi energy exercises, (Chi Kung) and meridian stretching exercises.

An eight-week introduction to Yang style Tai Chi started at the Natural Healing Centre, on Wednesday, 13th of March.
Running from 11.30am to 12.30, the focus of the hour-long classes is Tai Chi form or movement, but the classes also feature standing Chi Kung and stretching exercises.

All of these seminars take place at the Natural Healing Centre, MacCurtain St., Cork. They all take place on a Sunday, from 9.30 am to about 3.30 pm. Each seminar costs 75 euros. Full notes are provided and a certificate of attendance is issued for each completed seminar.
The series of advanced post-graduate seminars for the first part of this year are well under way and are focused on Eastern massage techniques combined with acupressure stimulation. So far, we have run -
Eastern techniques for the back, in January, eastern techniques for the hips and legs in February and we are about to run, this coming Sunday;
Eastern techniques for the shoulders, arms and hands (Sunday, 24th of March) As well as working the shoulder girdle with oriental massage techniques, learn to locate and treat eleven meridian points for shoulder, arm and hand pain, as well as for nausea, palpitations, insomnia and breathing problems.
Eastern techniques for the head, neck and abdomen (Sunday, 28th of April) Learn oriental techniques for the head, neck and abdomen and learn to locate and treat meridian acupoints for neck pain and stiffness, for facial tension and headache and also for eye problems, the common cold, irregular menstruation, intestinal problems, etc. Also included in this seminar is a facial massage from Japan.
Brazilian foot massage (Sunday, 26th of May) This is a very simple technique. The total treatment takes about twenty minutes and it has an extremely relaxing effect on the person receiving it. It is based on balancing meridian energy and the meridians involved are the spleen, liver, stomach, bladder, gallbladder and kidney meridians. This seminar also includes gait testing and balancing, using neurolymphatic points on the feet to correct walking pattern imbalances.
We also plan to hold a Chi Kung day workshop and , later in the year, a course in energy massage. Contact us if you would like to be put on our mailing list for next years seminars.
Our main treatment focus at the Centre is on physical therapy and we incorporate a variety of bodywork approaches, including soft tissue and deep tissue techniques and gentle joint and muscle releases , to treat our clients.
The more common problems we treat would be bad backs and necks, together with a variety of sports injuries.
We also use reflexology fror stress-related problems, hormone imbalances, digestive problems, etc.

<Lunchtime appointments are available on Tuesday and Thursday.
Our treatment fee is 50 euro and each treatment swession averages 45 minutes in total.

We are the longest established training school in Munster.All of our training courses take place in the evenings or at weekends to facilitate our students’ busy lifestyles.
Our Complementary Therapy courses have been formulated by The Natural Healing Centre’s therapists; complementary health practitioners with over 60 years cumulative experience behind them. Our tutors are working professionals in complementary medicine and complementary therapy, who bring a wealth of knowledge & experience to their training seminars.
The Natural Healing Centre is a member training school of the British Complementary Medicine Association and all of our courses adhere to its high standards. Our BCMA recognised qualification automatically entitles graduates to practice in Ireland and the UK; we have also had many graduates go on to work in a number of locations including Australia, the USA, and a variety of European countries.
Our next Therapeutic Massage course starts on Saturday 27th of April. Our next Reflexology Course starts on Monday 29th of April.
